Red Fife is one of the oldest wheat varieties grown in Canada, and was the primary wheat for many decades but was replaced by other varieties over time. The Red Fife we use comes from the Loiselle Family Farms near Vonda, Saskatchewan who have been using organic practices since 1985. Our Red Fife Sourdough loaf is made with 50% Organic Whole Red Fife Flour and 50% Organic Unbleached Organic Flour.
We are making these as oblong loaves now.
