We made a lovely Pumpkin Sourdough Loaf for thanksgiving, and thought, what if we take our Lebkuchengewürz spice mix we use in our Pfeffernüsse cookies, and add it to our Pumpkin Sourdough.
Well we think it is delicous! We also coated it in pumpkin seeds, so it kinda looks like an ankylosaurus or armadillo, depending on who you ask. What we do know is it is a delightful spicy loaf, that makes wonderful turkey or chicken sandwiches, or just on its own!
It is made using 80% Organic Unbleached Flour and 20% Organic Whole Grain Red Fife Flour, along with pumpkin puree. It is has pumpkin seeds inside and outside to give it some texture, and spiced with our Lebkuchengewürz spice mix which has 11 different spices, toasted and ground in house..
