In support of people in Ukraine, the Great Canadian Baking Show alumni are holding a bake sale/auction/baking showcase to encourage you to donate.

For Saturday March 5, 2022, we are baking a special loaf of Makivnyk or Ukrainian Poppy Seed Roll with 100% of the $20 price going to this cause. In this loaf a portion of the flour is Red Fife, Canada’s oldest variety, and believed to originate from Halychanka wheat from Ukraine.

The roll is also packed with poppy seeds, walnuts and raisins.

• Support for Black People trying to leave Ukraine and experiencing #racism at the border
